JoeM's Muddiest point

My muddiest point is how to tell what is a stem and what is a root.

  1. To tell the difference between a stem and a root you need to look at the picture. If there is a vascular cylinder present, then the picture you are looking at is a root. If there is not a vascular cylinder present, but a vascular bundle present, then it is a stem.
