My muddiest point is when you are doing pedigrees, is it always contain X and/or Y to show male or female or is it always just dominant and recessive letters, example B-brown b-blonde? Or can it be either or depending on the question?
In pedigrees, a circle is a female, and a square is a male. If the person has the disease, the circle or square of them is colored. If they are a carrier, it is half shaded. The goal of the pedigrees sometimes is to find out the parental crosses of the parent, so sometimes you have to find it out yourself.
