Muddiest Point

The thing that i am most confused about is the difference between Darwin and Lamark's theories.

    Darwin's theories were:
    - variation(different species had different adaptations)
    - tendency toward overpopulation
    - struggle for existence
    - natural selection/ survival of the fittest

    Lamark's theories were:
    - urge/desire toward perfection
    - law of use/disuse
    - inheritance of acquired characteristics

    BOTH= - descent with modification( basically common ancestor)
    - environment influenced evolution
    - no knowledge of DNA
