AndrijanaA's Muddiest Point

My muddiest point in this unit was the difference between the nucleus and the nucleolus. I get their functions mixed up. Can someone please explain? Thanks.

  1. The nucleus is the control center and the nucleolus makes protein.

  2. Not quite Joey....

Nucleus contains DNA. DNA is the instruction for making PROTEINS.

The nucleuolus contains PROTEINS and RNA... The nucleolus has instructions to make RIBOSOMES. The ribosomes make the proteins.
